Define Me

Gutter Poetry: "The origins of Gutter Poetry and Rhyming slang are, to a degree, largely unknown. However, hearsay indicates that its roots are in the Paris of the late eighteenth century. During the period 1790 to 1870 it is believed that an unlikely alliance of writes, beggars, tramps, thieves, cranks and the destitute was formed, later to be labelled the Court of Miracles. Hand-printed on scraps of paper by a network of many small, illegal printing companies, its purpose was deeply political, circulating rumour regarding the bourgeoisie, and was often in code." - Ebbiewebbie
