Full text of George Bush's speech to Knesset
Apologies for the delay, but here is a link to George Bush's speech to the Israeli Knesset. It' so nice to know Bush is a neutral, unbiased mediator in the latest Israeli-Palestinian peace talks. In the opening lines, Bush regrets the absence of the obese Sabra and Shatila mass-murderer Ariel Sharon. Bush says of Sharon, "He is a warrior for the ages, a man of peace, a friend. The prayers of the American people are with Ariel Sharon." In a hilarious passage, Bush says "We believe that democracy is the only way to ensure human rights. So we consider it a source of shame that the United Nations routinely passes more human rights resolutions against the freest democracy in the Middle East than any other nation in the world." The United Nations, of course, has no reason whatsoever for doing so. With a man like Bush calling Israel America's "best friend" and "a homeland for the chosen people", I'm sure the Palestinians can expect a fair, just and lasting peace any day now.

Thanks for posting this link.
He even makes a literal comparison between the 'discovery' over 'America' and the declaration of the state of Israel. Maybe he still hopes the Palestinians will end up like the Native Americans: locked up in a few Reservations, their culture sold for tourism, their fate discussed in history-books 400 years after the fact.
Indeed, the ideal negotiator between the two parties.
