Hooliganism not heroism.

Boys with machine guns
play war games on Beirut and Tripoli streets
they don't realize its a losing game until they've
lost their life.

Don't like words like escalation civil tension strife
they cut deep into weary hearts like a knife
people taking matters into their own hands
are destroying my life plans
Wanted to be an aid worker a journo a dreamer
but I'm stuck now coz of others misdemeanors
stuck here writing two minute thoughtless rhymes
just so as to pass the time
to try and block out meaningless violence
and bring life back to ominous silence.
